Jan Linder-Koda, founder of Angel Diva Music, influences the talents and careers of some of today’s hottest up and coming artists. Her extensive teaching and guidance is based on a lifetime of education and real world experience that spans the recording studio, television and stage.
As an award-winning songwriter/producer, Jan created the original piece “Damaged” for the new Ralph Lauren Polo web site campaign and has performed and composed music for some of the most influential artists in the entertainment industry. This includes Narada Michael Walden, Lou Rawls, David Hasselhoff, The Temptations, Marla Sokoloff, Kurt Russell and Robert Guillaume just to name a few.
An accomplished actress, Jan has worked as a voice-over artist for the character of Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin, and performed in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express. Other film credits include a co-starring role in the movies Bruce Almighty, My Sister's Keeper (with Kathy Bates ) and Jawbreakers. Television credits include roles in successful shows such as Rodney where she co-starred as the “Boob Lady”, and in The Bernie Mac Show opposite Wesley Snipes.
Jan revealed her vocal talents at an early age and with the encouragement of her mother, spent her childhood studying music in her hometown of Philadelphia. With a successful debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Jan also sang with Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic. Formal education ensued, with a Bachelor’s of Education in Opera at Temple University; and two Master’s Degrees from Combs College of Music in Theater Arts and Composition.
After relocating to Southern California, Jan put her education to good use, working with famed vocal coach Seth Riggs and teaching his all-star roster of entertainment clientele.
Today, Jan is quite the Renaissance woman, wearing many hats including producer and songwriter, actress, voiceover artist and teacher. As a proud parent, Jan has also taken the role of activist. Following her son Gregory’s diagnosis with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Jan is dedicated to raising funds to support worthy organizations committed to finding a cure for Autism and supporting those diagnosed with this life-changing disorder. Proceeds from her latest CD, “Sophisticated Lullabies”, support CURE AUTISM NOW.
